Custom software development for Mac, Windows & web

When standard software does not fit the way you work, a focused custom application can help. Pahl Digital Art designs and develops software for macOS, Windows and the browser around the task you actually need to complete.

Understand the workflow before adding features

We examine inputs, decisions, handovers and outputs. This reveals which steps can be automated and where people still need to check or decide. Existing data, integrations and failure cases are part of that discussion.

  • Document requirements and priorities
  • Interaction design and visual prototypes
  • Data flows, integrations and automation
  • Testing, handover and agreed further development

Extend, connect or build?

When existing software broadly fits, an integration can avoid duplicate data entry or a small tool can fill a gap. A new application becomes an option when the required workflow cannot be handled adequately that way. The benefit in daily work matters more than the number of new features.

  • Existing systems and data
  • Available access and integrations
  • Current manual transfers or sources of error
  • How the desired result will be recognised

Choose the platform for the way people work

A native Mac application can integrate closely with the operating system. A web application is accessible through a browser. A locally installed application can also use a browser interface: Lohnhelfer in the showcase demonstrates this approach on Windows 11.

The right option depends on devices, offline requirements, data storage and distribution. We explain the differences in the context of your project before choosing a technology.

Practical experience from our own products

Swiftli Smart HR brings operational tasks into a native macOS interface. Swiftli Launch Pad focuses on quick access to apps. These are independent products; your project receives the design and functions that fit your requirements.

Common questions

Does existing software have to be replaced completely?

Not necessarily. An extension, an integration or a focused tool may be enough. We assess this against the existing system and the result you need.

Can a solution run locally?

Yes. Local applications and local data storage can be project requirements. Connections to external services, updates and backups are explicitly included in the planning.
